Assessment of risk management.

 
Strategic actions carried out for risk management must be assessed in order to identify their adequacy and efficiency regarding the related objectives. Setting from the information obtained modifications or new actions may be included, where appropriate.
ACTIONS
To assess the efficiency of the developed risk management actions and programs in relation to the expected results, for example trough indicators relating the activity to the derived epidemiological data, the number of companies having implemented preventive systems, the number of alerts and non-conform products, etc.

To assess the progress level of the risk management programs, for example through the relation between planned and developed activities.

ACTIONS

To promote the adoption of documented procedures and appropriate registration systems among the different operators of the chain food. This shall allow to define the identity of suppliers, ingredients and foodstuffs, and, if that is the case, the origin of the animals for the exclusive identification of the product, from its entry into the premises and throughout the manufacturing and distribution stages, so that it is possible to take actions on a particular product.

To implement a system which ensures that the product offers the necessary information to guarantee traceability, such as the marking of products or lots, so that they can be identified at every stage of the manufacturing and selling stages, samples tests can be carried out, and the filed claims can be studied.
